Named Jiffy Biscuit Mix, this product launched in 1930 and introduced the world to convenience food and baking mixes. Benefiting the area’s milling heritage, Chelsea Milling remains family-run and continues to introduce trailblazing products to a global market. Highlighted by Forbes in 1990, Jiffy comprised 14% of biscuit, muffin, and cake mixes and 50% of muffin mixes for sale. By 2000, Fortune reported the company led sales in muffin mixes at 55%.
