A powerhouse in Michigan’s microbrewing industry, Bell’s Brewery is the state’s largest craft brewery in the state and produces more that 40 varieties of beer. Started by Larry Bell in 1985, it was known as Kalamazoo Brewing Company. With changes to the state’s liquor laws in 1993, the facility moved to near downtown Kalamazoo and became the first brewery to sell beer by the glass in Michigan. Though this facility functions as the Eccentric Café, production moved to Galesburg, Michigan, in 2002. In 2005, Bell renamed his business to Bell’s Brewery, Inc.
